Wii, why do you do this to me?

In the last few days, Ubisoft has announced 7 launch titles, and Midway annoucing several extra ones. Where does this leave the Wii gamer? Drooling, with a hurting wallet. With games like GT Pro Series (billed as a Gotham Racing or Gran Turismo like game), 4×4 World Circuit (monster truck racing), Rampage: Total Destruction, etc ontop of Red Steel and the other great confirmed launch titles, how can anyone afford to get the games they want? I know I'll be getting them slowly. As a fan of FPS's, Lightgun games, and racing games, this system is looking like my gaming Nirvana. This is going to be one interesting console war.

WWDC in review, and other oddities.

For those who have seen the live coverage of the WWDC, please throw your two cents in.

Personally, I have mixed feelings on this keynote. In typical Jobs fashion, there was some neat things released today, such as the Mac Pro, however there were also some let down. The largest let down was the total lack "one more thing". Maybe the Paris conference next month will have something neat, but untill then just kinda put a bummer on things here.

For those of you that surf from work, try http://www.workfriendly.net/, which takes any page and puts it into a window that appears like a Word document.

In other news, my one pig, Hamlet, seems to have come down with heatstroke. It doesn't seem to be really bad, but I still hope he gets better.

Shit and shat

First off, have to say, I am pleased with the results of the google adsense so far. It's not going like gang busters, but, after the other day having the site being hit by people from the nintendo forums, I've had $14.56 generated so far. Most of that was in the day I received heavy traffic (day after, $0.95). Only real bad part, is that I won't see a cent of it till $100 is generated. When that happens, it'll be cool since it would be just about covering my hosting costs and the price of the domain. Probably will be quite some time before that happens though, since most of the time, I don't get much traffic.

Other news, Hamlet is still not doing to good. Not wanting to get out and eat or anything. I'm really kinda worried. However, one little chick that got hurt by Axel, (who we now call "Fried") is doing better, and is able to walk without much limping. Hopefully things dont get too hot again, because it really effects Bill too, and today we had a power outage. No power, no AC, no way to cool Bill down.

RIAA isn't evil, now, really…Please stop laughing…

In a surprise move, the RIAA showed a milisecond of humanity, only to supplant it with supreme dickery. Of course, they didn't want to ruin their reputation as jackasses.

Basically, what happened was that the RIAA was suing a guy over downloading MP3's. Oh noes! That evil doer is making it so the recording artists can't afford to eat, and so their lawyers and represenatives have to do actual work!! </sarcasm> Anyway, the guy died. So what happened next is instead of dropping things, they gave the family 60 days to grieve before moving on with the case against the family. Close, yet still so fucked up.

Ugh

Things have been iffy the last few days.

Got my networking adapter hooked up, and so far I've not been able to play any games because there were A: No one on B: not enough space on my memory card to download the patches C: The server was down. Atleast tonight I was able to get on for a bit and kick some ass. This one guy, of the 5 or 6 races I went against him, I took him out of the race all but one time. The remaining time, I caused him to get by oncoming traffic. He was getting so upset he was hitting start to begin the race as soon as soon as I got back into the room from the last one. I also found out, that EA's servers are flakey. Got disconnected twice, plus a couple times it also threw errors when it was updating my record.

Yesterday, got a message from Google, saying they're suspending the adsense account because they claimed that there was invalid clicks. Try to log in to adsense account manager, and I'm blocked. Go on over to the google group for adsense, and apparently a bunch of people recently have had the same thing happened. Email from google saying that the account was being disabled due there were invalid clicks (but no info on when or anything, very generic) and no response after it is appealed nor was there a warning before hand. One person did say they got a response, when they had asked for info on what happened, and Google shot back a message saying they would not divulge any information as it is confidential information. I've yet to hear back from Google myself. Shitty thing is that if they do that, you're permanently black listed, unless they review your appeal and decide they closed it in error.

Today, rottenshit had kernel panic 3 times. Trying to transfer things from my one hard drive so I can reformat it. OSX does not like NTFS. I tried then doing it on the only windows machine I have going at the time, but the drive overheated on it part way through, so that crashed and wouldnt reboot. Hopefully can back it up soon so I can reformat it.
