Bummer

The Nintendo press conference at Leipzig's GC was a total let down. Most of the time they were talking about the DS.

Wanna know the shit they announced? Pink DS Lite, Mario Strikers sequal for Wii (soccer game), and Batallion Wars 2. No release date, no price. COME ON, YOU'RE KILLING US!

Weeee!!!

Not too terribly much is going on in these parts.

Last few days, been trying to work my way through the Bleach anime. Fairly decent, got some funny bits, but some definite stuff that would probably get mangled if they tried bringing to America. "What? Teenagers and older don't watch anime! Gotta make it for little Billy, lure him away from that pokeyman! This sword play and blood has to go!". I'm about halfway through what has been released so far. Helps fill in since some of my normal podcasts are in a downtime right now, plus no decent TV going on from either side of the pond.

The whistledick who's trying to claim more than his own out at the farm is putting up more fence, and moved the survey markers to where he put the fence to. He's doing this all AFTER getting a letter stating that he has 30 days to remove his belongings from our property before we take legal action. Next step, get it resurveyed, again (we went through a similar thing when the guy moved in), and call up the lawyer with the results when the 30 days hit.

The other day, get a knock at the door, and county cop is there because the turkeys (4 extremely tame and affectionate birds) had got out and were in the subdivision next door, and a woman over there was scared of them. How nutso can these city slickers be. OH MY GOD, THE 10 POUND BIRD IS GONNA KILL ME!

With Leipzig's GC being wrapped up now, earlier this week we found out Nintendo is doing a special by invite only event on September 14th. Hopefully they'll announce the release date and price for the Wii then.

Wooo doggies!

Its been a big odd the last few days.

Wednesday, went out to help Kurt move. Cops were fucking everywhere. I counted 23. Also while we were out moving, driving by the Ponderosa in Eureka, we saw a nice new stretch limo parked there. Who the hell rents a limo TO GOTO PONDEROSA? ugh. Anyway, got that done.

Last night, went out with Karen for her birthday. Got her the new limited edition versions of LOTR trilogy. For dinner we were going to goto Texas Roadhouse, but they were packed, so we had mexican at Guacomoles instead. Was good food. Had lots of fun.

Today, went to a show in Troy, which was pretty good, but on the way home, found out that somehow a hole got punched into Ruby's gas tank. Its not a rust hole or something, since the tank is a fairly new polyetheline (plastic) tank. So gotta drop the tank and replace it. Fun fun.

Also, fencing time, to keep out the pesky neighbors. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE THINK BECAUSE WE HAVE ANIMALS THAT YOU HAVE FREE ACCESS TO COME INTO OUR YARD AND MESS AROUND WITH STUFF?

Update

Yesterday, went to Eric's, helped him get some plywood and work on his computer, then afterwards we went downtown for the Horrorpops/Reverend Horton Heat concert. Was a kick ass show. Really liked seeing the Horrorpops live, they're a blast to see, and you can't really tell when they're speaking that they're not from America. Rev, as always, tremendous show, and kept going one song immediately after another, only pausing to retune his guitar. Rev's new drummer, Paul Simmons, is a good replacement for Scott Churilla. Fans of the Legendary Shack Shakers might remember Simmons as their former drummer.

After the show, headed back to Eric's, but didnt get much sleep. Slept wrong and messed up my right shoulder, plus his one new kitten kept wanting to play. So I'd get woken up by the cat pawing at my face or something like that.

Outside of that, nothing too much interesting is going on. Been working here on the rescuethedumpguy.com for a friend. Still have a bit of work left to do, but its up and functional. Next gotta get the forum template done to fit the rest of the site.

Can you say "clusterfuck"?…I knew you could!

Things have been particularly rough here lately. After my monitor died, its been a little difficult to get on here to document it.

This weekend, mostly we did work around the house, like put up more fence. After that, I'm fairly sore.

On saturday, as I went out to feed, I had found that Hamlet had passed away. He was 15 years old. He had a good and happy life. I miss him.

Outside of that, not much else has been going on. Just working.
