Yesterday (I aint gone to bed yet, so its still friday in my book), when I was out feeding, I found Ralpie out behind the pen, dead. Throat looked ripped out and like someone had tossed him over the fence. Its really been kinda sad, since he was a really sweet turkey. You'll be missed, man.
Wow, this past week or so has just been wild.
First off, Cards, YOU ROCK! World Series champs! So far, everyone I know from Detroit has been making excuses and trying to blame the cards. "They cheated! It wasn't fair for them to play when it was raining out!" Well, ya know, MLB controls that, not the Cardinals, plus the Cards had to run around and play in it too. One guy actually said "St Louis is statistically more dangerous than Detroit! Thats quite a feat, and it wasn't safe for our players to goto St Louis and play." What the fuck? I've never seen stats that have shown that, plus you're in a fucking stadium, protected from people, so how does that effect anything? Just nuts.
Saturday, we had our Halloween party, only thing is, over half the people that said they would definitely be there, didnt show.
Sunday night, the one neighbor comes over drunk, trying to start a fight, because he's pissed that his property line isn't where the people he bought it from told him. Its not our fault they lied to him, plus he should have checked 3 years ago, because he had already caught them in a lie once, trying to screw him out of his driveway.
Monday, headed out to the farm to take pictures of the survey. Took much longer than anticipated, due to assfucker removing all the survey stakes from the front half of my property. Entire time, the people who're trying to claim my stuff were sitting out watching.
Outside of that, its just been alot of shit I'd rather not get into and programming. Working on a site for a guy, and the ball's rolling on that pretty good. Hope to show off more soon.
Sorry I aint been posting lately, but been really busy with shit around here. In the new news catergory, I have to report that I got to play Excite Truck on the Wii tonight. The game is fun, and the controls, while being a little over sensitive were easy to get used to and after the first lap, I was kicking ass and taking names. How does it feel? Take a slim DVD remote, make it uber slim, then give it a super slick feel (iPod and DS Lite fans, you know what I mean), and finish it up by dropping some weight. The thing is light. Not like a feather, but, definitely wont slow down any movements at all. I was really surprised. For a pointer, give it some space, because up close, its not so great, but Nintendo themselves admit that you have to have atleast 3 feet, and up to 8 to work good. Since I was with other people at the time, and the only game available being Excite Truck, I didnt really get to play with it a whole lot, but it is a blast.
Yesterday, I camped. For 11 hours, I waited in line to buy one of the greatest video game machines to date, the Nintendo Wii. Now, I have the machine in my grubby hands, and sadly cannot play it. With the machine fetching $500 to $800 on eBay, my family wants me to sell it, and I cant say that I couldn't use the money. I'm going to wait a while, closer till christmas, and if its still holding on to the higher than retail prices, I'll sell it. Otherwise, I'll keep it.
Well, since I last checked in, lots of stuff has been going on. After seeing the the market bottom out on the Wiis due to Nintendo shipping on average 200,000 a week to the US, I decided to keep mine. Cracked it open on Wednesday, and have had a blast since. It got plenty of use on Thanksgiving.
I do have to say, BE CAREFUL OF WHERE YOU SWING! Thursday night I was playing Wii Sports Golf with Eric and there was a 500 yard hole. I prep to go all Happy Gilmore on the ball, and when I swung the wiimote, I curved in a bit too closer to myself and ended up hitting myself in the nuts. Fucking hurt like hell.
On thanksgiving, was a bit hectic around here, but over all not bad. Food was good. Had alot more people than originally planned but they behaved themselves pretty well.
Outside of that, mostly been working on stuff around here. Got christmas lights up today, and got alot of fencing done. Still more to do.
