Yesterday, went to see Chuck Berry and alot of others perform at a Johnny Johnson memorial concert, which was really cool, but things kept going down hill. Pen came apart in my pants pocket, then the alarm remote broke so we were locked out of the car (plus with it with the alarm on it wouldnt start), so I was stuck down town till this morning when a place opened where I could buy parts to fix the remote.
When I got back, funkyshit switched IP's again, and also cloned its old one. Fixed the cloning problem (I hope), and so now, I hope that it won't switch IP's. I think the thing was, that when ever it would have to renew its lease, it'd request an IP it used to have, but the router doesnt support that so the router would give it the old one, plus clone a second interface with the requested IP. Essentially it had two IP's, neither really working.
Argh, just had the power flicker, restarting my computers. Also my arm is killing me.
Guy who I used to work with had his computer over here, I had fixed it back in like october, and he had me hang onto it till he moved. Well, the old thing gave up the ghost. 10-11 years old, and died of old age but still feel bad about it.
On the plus side, my aunt has been visiting from Vegas, which is cool.
Got my scanner running today on this machine. SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy) added backend support for the NIASH chipset scanners, which happens to include the HP Scanjet 3300C scanner I have. Been playing with that.
Also, Wednesday I dropped a grand on a vinyl plotter, and gonna spend about another $500 on getting vinyl. My wallet hates me right now…
BAH! all day been trying to get an old computer of mine working to give to my brother (AthlonXP 1900+ so not that old) but its giving fits. No video display. Think vid card is toast.
Arm hurts like all fuck now too. was having to lug stuff around. pain not fun
