Ok, net connection is back, kinda. Its down more than its up though. ISP guys will be out next week with new parts to make it better.
Also, funkyshit here has broken his old uptime record, now at 32 days. Doesnt sound like much, but every time he got close to a month, had a brownout or something.
Got the last parts on order for making something for the plotter computer.
This weekend have the ARCC carshow I'll be at.
Still trying to get things worked out on SR3. Source Forge got the account setup, so trying to upload the source, but no binaries yet. I hope to have the source in the CVS sometime today, if my connection stays up long enough.
Last night I was at the Wentzville Nostalgia Cruise, and was a bit disappointed. Now that MAR is no more, a new group of people is running it, and its only once a year instead of twice, plus there is no restriction on age of the cars (was a bunch of newer cars, with abunch being beat up pieces of shit). Just seems like its going down hill.
The good – Got some cool stuff on the way, like parts to get the plotter going again. Also got SR3 to compile. Plus the carshow sunday went pretty good. Few other cool things going on but don't want to jinx anything.
The bad – SR3 compiles, however crashes when you goto race, the net connection has been spotty, arm and leg hurts, and sunburnt all over from sunday.
The ugly – just had to restart Funkyshit. Tip for the wise, do not loop network shares. On each of my machines I have shares setup to see the my home director of the others. Well, while looking at funkyshit's shares on monstershit, I accidentally loaded up monstershits share. Samba on both machines locked up, and on funkyshit was so bad that it turned into a zombie. 37 days, 4 hours, 10 minutes.
Also, still have people bugging me for SR3. One guy I had talked to about 14 hours ago and asked how it was coming along. He just now asked me again if I had it ready for release. DO NOT BUG THE PROGRAMMER! It'll be released when its able. I'm working as fast as I can on it. Things are running better, but still not as good as they should. If I keep having to field answers, thats less time I can work on SR3.
Tonight I have the car club meeting.
Yesterday got some goodies in, parts to get the plotter running again, and my Linux PDA. Things pretty cool.
Also, since I had to reboot, the IP problem is back on the new card.
Ok, just finished setting the plotter back up. the machine its on isnt much (400 Mhz Celeron, 64 mb of ram, and 6gig hard drive), but seems to be doing well. If ya want anything made up, get in touch
