Yes, Streetrod3.com has risen from the grave. After much time, finagling, hassle, and personal expense, I've wrested the domain and data from others, and begun to restore things. Eventual plan is to totally redo the site, but, as things stand, better to have the old site up, rather than a squatter's page.
What does this mean about the project? Well, contrary to popular belief, it was never officially canceled (Unless you count the brother of the webmaster as someone who has that authority). That posting on the website was made without the prior knowledge or consent of the SR3 devteam. In fact, we were in the middle of prepping a new release at the time. Unfortunately, all it served to do, was piss off the devteam and make most of them quit. As things stand now, I'm the only devteam member left. What I would like to do is start recruiting some programmers (Sorry modelers, we need to get some coding done first), and begin work again. I have a few bits of code I want to add to the code base, but most of the changes that was made for the release being worked on at the time of shit hitting the fan has been lost in a drive crash. That included work on tools to make new tracks.
Still, all is not lost. We have the code from the last release, we have the site again, so, we can pickup and carry on.
